Editor’s Letter
Silva Zoldyck & Zeno Zoldyck – Zoldyck Family Vol. 1 and Flame Reaver – Honkai: Star Rail offer two ways to give a character display structure. One relies on contrasting portraits; the other builds a surrounding effects scene.

The large confrontations elsewhere in the selection make the relationship between opponents the subject. A street-corner portrait offers a quieter relationship between a person and a familiar place. We prefer to keep those distinctions explicit, because a shared base does not automatically make a group more meaningful. The figures need a reason to face each other, occupy different heights or share a particular setting. The costume and transformation pieces in the gallery offer further variations on that idea, with props and effects carrying the connection. We would choose the relationship first, then compare the amount of scenery needed to express it. A small pair can be more coherent than a large crowd when the poses remain clear and the supporting objects have a purpose.
Why Now
01
Wuthering Waves names its next update
The August 7 announcement set Wuthering Waves Version 3.6 for August 20. It gives Qingxiao’s portrait a recent franchise setting; the seated composition is considered separately from any in-game release.
02
Tayama’s world reaches a pop-up shop
The official anime site posted an August 21 announcement for a Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You pop-up shop. Its workplace-themed artwork gives the street-corner portrait a relevant character-world connection.

New One Piece figure displays
ONE PIECE.com reported new Portrait.Of.Pirates displays at ONE PIECE DAY on August 22. This is a current collecting-context link for the One Piece selection, not a claim that the featured Hancock is one of those releases.
Chapter 01
Family portraits: Silva, Zeno & Yugi
Contrasting poses and a familiar companion can give a group its structure. The relationship should remain clear even when the individual figures have different amounts of surrounding detail.
Silva Zoldyck & Zeno Zoldyck - Zoldyck Family Vol. 1
The Zoldyck Family product combines Silva’s seated portrait with Zeno’s upright figure as separate character options. Silva is offered with yellow or white hair, while Zeno uses a taller, narrower stance. The difference in posture gives the family grouping a useful rhythm without requiring an elaborate shared battle base.
Silva is listed at 22.6 cm high, 18.6 cm wide and 19.5 cm deep; Zeno at 27 by 12.9 by 10 cm. We would choose the desired figures and hair option explicitly, rather than assume the product’s starting price includes the full pictured group. The attraction is the contrast between the two portraits.

Shared confrontations: Gojo, Doma & Omegamon
A confrontation or a large partner group needs room for the space between its figures. That relationship can be lost if the scene is treated as a row of isolated portraits.
Strongest Showdown: Satoru Gojo vs. Ryomen Sukuna
Strongest Showdown brings Satoru Gojo and Ryomen Sukuna into a single two-character diorama. The action is organised around the encounter, with the surrounding forms directing attention between the figures. That makes the shared space as important as either individual pose.
The listed dimensions are 48 cm high, 56 cm wide and 60 cm deep. We would reserve a viewing position that exposes the full encounter, rather than judge the piece from the height of one figure. The product notes that images are illustrative and the final item may vary, so the recommendation concerns the pictured composition rather than a guarantee of its final finish.

Personal settings: Tayama, Label & Qingxiao
A lamp, books or a contained interior can give an individual portrait a recognisable place. These scenes offer a quieter alternative to the large confrontations.
Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You: Tayama at the Usual Place
Tayama at the Usual Place uses a streetlamp and a small street-corner base to establish the portrait’s setting. The figure does not need a second person to suggest a familiar meeting place. Two head sculpts offer a change of expression within the same restrained scene.
We prefer this when the environment should support an everyday character moment. The lamp provides a vertical boundary while the lower base remains contained. Dimensions are not specified in the listing, so the 1/6 scale label should not be treated as a substitute for checking the final footprint. The clear person-and-place relationship is the main reason for the selection.

The Zoldyck portraits keep the relationship clear.
Silva Zoldyck & Zeno Zoldyck – Zoldyck Family Vol. 1 is our preference for a group built around contrasting character poses. The family connection does not require a large surrounding scene. Tayama at the Usual Place offers a similarly clear relationship between a figure and a familiar setting.
Strongest Showdown is the alternative when the encounter itself deserves the main display area. We would choose that composition only with a view across the full scene. A focused pair, a personal place and a large confrontation are three different collecting decisions, and none needs to imitate the others to be useful.
Choose the relationship first, then the scenery needed to show it.
