Editor’s Letter
The strongest displays this week make their outlines easy to read: Vegeta – Ultra Ego concentrates its energy around one stance. Xeno'jiiva gives its spread wings and crystal terrain room to shape the whole scene.

We would start with the space around those shapes. The Pokémon selection ranges from Mew's looping tail to a trading-card backdrop, while Dragon Ball moves between companionship and confrontation. Neither approach needs a crowded shelf to make its point. A narrow setting can benefit from a single readable gesture; a wider bay can give wings and scenery their intended separation. Our choices favor that distinction over a uniform scale. The lowest prices also serve different purposes: a small character accent, a costume variation, or an entry into a larger composition. We would choose the visual relationship first, then compare the dimensions and the exact version being reserved.
Why Now
01
Pikachu and Mew share an anniversary moment
Pokémon TCG Live announced its 30th Celebration Battle Pass on September 15, with a Mew ex deck and Pikachu-focused activities. That makes these two characters a timely pairing for a collecting shelf. The anniversary context supports our editorial choice; it does not establish any connection between the game campaign and these studio pieces.
02
A fresh reason to revisit Vegeta
The September 30 Dragon Ball announcement introduced Super Saiyan God SS Vegeta to Season 7 of GEKISHIN SQUADRA. Our pick depicts Ultra Ego, a different form. The shared character makes the comparison timely, while the purple palette and low stance are the reasons we chose this particular display.
03
Creature silhouettes remain the useful comparison
PlayStation's September 3 presentation outlined Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance and its expanded Elder Dragon focus. We use that as broader series context for comparing Nergigante and Xeno'jiiva. It does not confirm either creature's appearance in the expansion; their contrasting wing profiles stand on their own as display ideas.

Pokémon: Pikachu, Mew & Raticate
A card backdrop gives Peak Studio's Pikachu a defined frame. Mew and Raticate work through their silhouettes; Chewtle and Drednaw add an evolution pairing whose regular-color ordering window has no stated closing date.
Pikachu - Pokémon Card Series Vol. 03
Pikachu wears Groudon or Kyogre costumes in two separate designs, each 17 cm tall with a wooden base, reproduced card and transparent PU effects. We favor the red design for a warm shelf palette and the blue version alongside water-themed pieces. The backdrop keeps the composition readable from the front.
The companion Rayquaza Pikachu has 168 announced pieces and optional illuminated eyes, with estimated shipment beginning three months after pre-orders close, in batches. miumiu Studio's anniversary Pikachu is sold singly or as a pair; its commemorative logo is included. These configurations reward choosing a specific version, rather than treating every photograph as one bundle.

Dragon Ball: Vegeta, Son Gohan & Son Goku
SuperPunch Studio compresses Vegeta's aggression into a low stance. Around him, Gohan supplies companionship and surprise, while Goku's floating pose and the Broly encounter stretch the battle theme vertically and sideways.
Vegeta - Ultra Ego
Vegeta – Ultra Ego measures 28 × 28 × 22 cm at 1/6 scale, priced at $189. Purple hair and translucent aura effects repeat the same color family, keeping the eye near his open hands and grin. We would give those pointed effects a plain backdrop so the stance stays legible.
Gohan and Icarus measure 23 × 20 × 23 cm. Childhood Gohan offers desktop and 1/6 versions at 8 and 15 cm high. Floating Goku offers 1/6 and 1/4 scales, two heads and lighting; the Broly diorama includes a Young Broly bonus but needs a 73.2 cm-wide footprint.

Winged forms: Xeno'jiiva, Nergigante & Seraphimon
Roaring Wild Studio spreads Xeno'jiiva across crystal terrain. Nergigante brings a lower, spiked outline, while Seraphimon from Digimon Adventure turns its metallic wings upward for a more vertical arrangement.
Xeno'jiiva — Monster Hunter
Xeno'jiiva — Monster Hunter is the choice for a display built around wings rather than a human portrait. Its 41 × 69 × 34 cm body and crystal setting combine dark scales with luminous blue extremities. Two head sculpts and built-in lighting provide distinct viewing options within the same broad silhouette.
The announced edition is 60 pieces, with an estimated Q4 2026–Q1 2027 release; the separately sold breath upgrade increases depth to 50 cm, and the alternate-head stand remains planned for production. Nergigante measures 22 × 36 × 17.5 cm, while Seraphimon reaches about 36 cm to its highest wing tip.
Best for: A wide display bay with room for illuminated wings

Let the outline set the pace
Our first choice for a concentrated battle display is Vegeta – Ultra Ego. Its crouched stance and repeated purple accents feel coherent without requiring a two-character scene. For a lighter character accent, 30th Go! Vol. 6 Mew offers a simpler relationship between figure, tail and base.
Xeno'jiiva makes more sense when the display itself can be organized around its wings. That is a different commitment from adding another small piece beside a card stand. For collectors making an initial reservation, the first-time buyer guide explains the process after you have chosen the piece and configuration that fit.
Give one silhouette enough space to carry the display.

Continue with character and color
The card-inspired Pikachu designs offer a useful starting point for comparing warm reds, cool blues and darker green treatments. Elsewhere, Feebas from Original Studio makes water effects the central visual idea. Explore the wider Pokémon selection with one question in mind: which shape and color would add something distinct to the collection you already enjoy?
