Editor’s Letter
Kamen Rider ZEZTZ Super Dream Form and Reunion Hornet and the Knight both use a surrounding curve to organise the subject. Ultra Instinct Goku takes a more direct standing approach.

The Rider’s dark vortex is expansive, creating a field around the armoured figure. The smaller pairing contains its movement in a flower-like base and a curling surge. We like the comparison because it shows that a coherent frame matters at more than one size. The standing portraits offer a pause from those enclosed scenes, with weapons or costume details carrying the interest instead. The larger mechanical option adds another consideration: a backdrop can change the required footprint much more than the central character suggests. We would choose the complete arrangement that suits the viewing position, then preserve enough background around it for the outline to remain clear. A dramatic effect is less useful when its edges disappear into the next piece.
Why Now
01
Zeztz’s summer stage programme
TV Asahi’s July 26 notice describes a Zeztz special programme at the summer superhero festival. It offers a recent live-event connection to the Rider, distinct from the statue’s nightmare-vortex design.
02
More anniversary activity for Jujutsu Kaisen
The official anniversary news list added a further Yokohama collaboration update on August 7. That provides current franchise context for the Toji and Geto portraits without suggesting that either is event merchandise.
03
Goku in a story-led card release
An August 8 official feature presented Fusion World’s story-focused card set, including Goku artwork. It gives the Goku portrait a current collecting reference without implying the statue belongs to that card release.
Chapter 01
Dark frames: ZEZTZ, Himeko & Shinku
A vortex, machinery and a street setting all extend the scene beyond the main figure. The strongest frame keeps the central subject easy to locate.
Kamen Rider ZEZTZ Super Dream Form
Kamen Rider ZEZTZ Super Dream Form stands within a dark red nightmare vortex. The surrounding curves build a continuous boundary around the suit, creating a much denser scene than a figure on a simple platform. The head, moon element and effects include illumination.
The listed height is 55 cm, with a width of 36 cm and depth of 29 cm. We would leave a quiet background behind the full outline so the red movement remains distinct. Lighting can reveal different parts of the scene, but the figure should still be recognisable within the sculpted frame when viewed under ordinary room conditions.
Best for: a dark effects scene with a strong continuous outer boundary

Direct portraits: Toji, Goku & Geto
A weapon, an alternate head or a flowing costume can vary a portrait without a large secondary environment. The central posture remains the useful point of comparison.
Collector Grade SS – Toji Fushiguro: The Heavenly Restriction
Toji’s long sword rests across the shoulders, with the Inventory Curse positioned beside it. The shorter weapon in the other hand creates a second line below, while the dark base effects give the standing body a direction. The upper arrangement remains the clearest part of the silhouette.
Standard is listed at 36 cm high, 22 cm wide and 16 cm deep; Deluxe at 42 by 28 by 21 cm. Two head sculpts are described, including a replacement offered as a pre-order bonus. We would choose the version for its complete composition and treat the bonus as conditional on the applicable offer.
Best for: a weapon-led portrait with a clearly defined upper silhouette

Contained motion: Hornet, Eevee & Luffy
A small shared scene can use a continuous curve to connect its subjects. Compact accents nearby offer an even simpler relationship between figure and base.
Reunion Hornet and the Knight
Reunion Hornet and the Knight joins the two figures above a flower-form base, with curling translucent effects rising around them. The illuminated central surge helps organise the scene, but the pairing and the curved boundary remain the main visual idea. The effect gives the two subjects a shared space.
The listed dimensions are 18 cm high, 16 cm wide and 12 cm deep. We favour this when a complete paired composition is wanted without the larger footprint of the Rider scene. The relationship between the figures deserves an unobstructed view, so the smaller size should not become a reason to hide it behind taller objects.
Best for: a compact paired scene with a continuous curved frame

The pairing offers the clearest compact scene.
Reunion Hornet and the Knight is our preference for a small display that still feels like a complete composition. The flower-shaped base and curling effects give the pair a shared setting. Kamen Rider ZEZTZ Super Dream Form is the larger alternative when a dark, enclosing effect should dominate the viewing position.
Ultra Instinct Goku supplies a more direct portrait between those scenes. Eevee GO is the smallest accent, with a simple prop relationship rather than a deep environment. We would preserve those distinct levels of complexity instead of making every figure compete to become the largest visual event.
A coherent frame matters more than the amount of effect around it.

Nothing we'd recommend this week
The lotus-themed portrait lacks a clear adult identity, while the intertwined Moss Angel scene leaves its age and fantasy-role context unresolved. Neither provides a sufficiently clear adult presentation for this column.
Unresolved character identity and age context keep both candidates out of the selection.

Continue with Kamen Rider.
Compare the Rider’s vortex with other Kamen Rider action frames. The useful question is whether the effects reveal the pose or make the central figure harder to follow.
