Notes
Calcifer sits as a translucent orange flame in the open top of a round, riveted iron body. The body is wrapped in bands of moss and stands on four segmented legs with claws. A small red-roofed wooden hut with a colour-segmented dial is fixed to one side. Pipes, vents and a ladder-like stack stick out at the back. The piece stands on grey rock with “Howl’s Moving Castle” lettered on it. The release comes in a Red Version and a Blue Version, and Calcifer can light up.
In Howl's Moving Castle, Calcifer is the fire demon whose flame powers the walking castle. This design makes him the burning core of a small mechanical walker. The attached hut and colour-segmented dial recall the castle's patchwork build and its colour-coded door. The promotional art sets the piece on a burning, war-torn battlefield.
