ABOUT

This is MMLAND Studio’s original crossover diorama pairing a sunglasses-wearing Squirtle — perched atop a cresting wave — with a fully illuminated Calcifer seated on a log base below, taking a direct water stream to the face. MMLAND sculpted the piece in imported resin and PU across a compact but dense 21 cm tall footprint, with Calcifer’s translucent flame body engineered for two-mode LED lighting: breathing pulse and constant glow. The fire-versus-water visual gag lands hard in physical form, and the removable sunglasses give the display a second read that holds up on a shelf.

CHARACTER ORIGIN

This is MMLAND Studio’s original crossover concept placing Squirtle — in full Squirtle Squad sunglasses mode — directly above Calcifer, casually blasting a water stream onto the fire demon from a wave crest. The comedic tension between Calcifer’s panicked expression and Squirtle’s completely unbothered posture is the whole joke, and MMLAND commits to it fully. The translucent amber resin used for Calcifer’s flame body is the technical centerpiece: it catches the internal LED from multiple angles, giving the fire a depth that flat paint could never replicate. The removable sunglasses are a small but deliberate detail — MMLAND left the collector the choice of reading this as a gag or a flex.
