ABOUT
Paipai JH Studio’s chibi interpretation of Kikyo distills one of anime’s most melancholy figures into something unexpectedly gentle — a miko mid-turn, peony bouquet held close, her hakama caught in a sweep of sculpted motion. At just 13 cm, the depth of the fabric folds and the individually detailed blossoms punch well above the scale. Limited to 108 painted units, this is a piece that rewards the collector who values quiet emotional resonance over spectacle.
CHARACTER ORIGIN
Kikyo is the tragic miko (shrine maiden) of Rumiko Takahashi's long-running manga and anime series Inuyasha, first serialized in Weekly Shonen Sunday from 1996 to 2008. A powerful priestess who once guarded the Sacred Jewel, she was bound to Inuyasha by love and ultimately betrayed by deception — dying with unresolved grief before being resurrected through supernatural means. This piece captures a quieter, more tender side of Kikyo: the young woman she was before tragedy defined her, holding flowers with a stillness that feels almost like a memory.
