CHARACTER ORIGIN

HunYu Studio stages the figure around the image of Kikyo at rest among the spirit tree — not in battle, but in the suspended stillness that defines her existence after death, beautiful and unreachable in equal measure. That liminality is the emotional core of her character in Inuyasha, and what HunYu emphasizes here is the atmosphere of it: the gnarled maple standing in for the boundary between the living world and the underworld she inhabits, the soul collectors rendered as her constant, eerie companions rather than weapons. Her expression is composed and inward, the raised hand holding the soul pearl neither offering nor commanding it — just existing, the way she does.
