This is HunYu Studio’s 1/7 scale original interpretation of Kikyo seated within the branches of an autumn maple, three soul collectors curling around her as she cradles one of their pearl-white orbs. The sculpt invests its detail budget in the interlocking tree structure and the semi-translucent soul collector forms — the kind of layered environmental build that earns the footprint it demands on a shelf. At 200 pieces, this one won’t have a quiet secondary market life.
CHARACTER ORIGIN
HunYu Studio stages the figure around the image of Kikyo at rest among the spirit tree — not in battle, but in the suspended stillness that defines her existence after death, beautiful and unreachable in equal measure. That liminality is the emotional core of her character in Inuyasha, and what HunYu emphasizes here is the atmosphere of it: the gnarled maple standing in for the boundary between the living world and the underworld she inhabits, the soul collectors rendered as her constant, eerie companions rather than weapons. Her expression is composed and inward, the raised hand holding the soul pearl neither offering nor commanding it — just existing, the way she does.
