Anm Studio’s 1/6 scale diorama places Light Yagami and L Lawliet on opposite ends of a chessboard base — Light standing tall with the Death Note in hand, L seated low in his signature crouch — framing the entire rivalry as a single frozen tableau. Cast in imported PU and resin, the set ships as a matched pair of 99 total, with a chessboard base, a foldable laptop accessory, and handcuffs that physically link both figures. This is the kind of display piece that works because the two figures only make complete sense together.
CHARACTER ORIGIN
SCENE NOTESAnm Studio frames the Light-versus-L dynamic not as a single manga panel but as an ongoing conceptual state — the chessboard is the series' most enduring metaphor for a rivalry where every move carries irreversible weight. Light stands dominant, Death Note open, scythe rising behind him with swirling page-fragment effects that push upward and outward; L sits low on the board itself, laptop at hand, surrounded by scattered pieces — composed, watchful, and entirely unbothered by the height difference. The asymmetry in posture is the whole point: Anm Studio uses vertical contrast to say everything about how each of them sees the game without a single word of dialogue.
