Height Range

Blending herpetological accuracy with display-friendly proportions, Snake Gorge 001 transforms the rare Southeast-Asian pit viper into a striking decor piece. Crisp scale work, true-to-life greens, and that unmistakable ruby stare channel the forest canopy straight to your shelf—perfect for wildlife enthusiasts, natural science educators, or anyone looking to add a coil of exotic elegance to their collection.

Character Origin

First described in 2002, Gumprecht’s green pit viper inhabits montane forests from northern Thailand and Laos across Yunnan (China) to northern Vietnam and Myanmar, stalking branches up to 1,500 m elevation. Males sport ruby eyes and a reversed two-tone post-ocular stripe—bright red over white—that sets the species apart from other Trimeresurus taxa. Arboreal by nature, the snake ambushes prey while draped over limbs, the scene this sculpt faithfully re-creates.

Updates and Improvements

Compared with the photographed prototype, production units receive:

  1. UV-stable varnish to protect the green pigment from fading.
  2. Re-sculpted loreal pits for sharper definition along the heat-sensing organs.
  3. Enhanced dry-brushing along ventrolateral scales to accent the diagnostic dark-brown edging reported in taxonomic keys.Branch peg reinforcement for long-term pose integrity.
Please note: every figure is finished by hand; micro-blemishes are possible and not considered defects.
