    Poliwag and Poliwhirl are Water-type Pokemon from the original Generation I roster, introduced in Pokemon Red and Blue. Poliwag is recognized by its translucent body and the hypnotic black-and-white spiral on its belly — a visual representation of its internal organs visible through its thin skin. Poliwhirl is its evolved form, gaining arms and a sturdier build while retaining that iconic swirling pattern, often depicted resting near ponds and rocky waterways in the wild.
