CHARACTER ORIGIN
Dandadan, created by Yukinobu Tatsu, follows Momo Ayase — a high-school girl with psychic powers inherited from her spirit-medium grandmother — and Ken Takakura (Okarun), a boy obsessed with aliens, as they stumble into a world where ghosts and extraterrestrials are terrifyingly real. Aira Shiratori is a classmate who becomes entangled in their supernatural battles after developing her own abilities. This piece captures the chaotic first encounter between Momo and Aira — the moment Aira literally crashes into Momo on the street, sending them both sprawling across the pavement in a tangle of limbs, school bags, and scattered belongings that kicks off their reluctant partnership.
