ABOUT

Stone Custom Studio’s entryway ornament shows Turbo Granny in her white maneki-neko form, seated with her eyes squeezed shut and her mouth stretched into a huge toothy grin. The open mouth has a glossy red interior and takes up most of the head. In the promotional images it holds sweets, a wallet and car keys. One raised paw holds a red scroll, and a gold coin hangs from the belled collar.

CHARACTER ORIGIN

In Dandadan, Turbo Granny ends up trapped inside a maneki-neko figurine, and this lucky-cat body becomes her regular mascot form. The statue keeps the traditional lucky-cat props: a raised paw, a belled collar, a gold coin marked "ten million ryō" and a scroll wishing for wealth and treasure. The wide grinning mouth is what makes it look like her.
