CHARACTER ORIGIN
Ai Haibara — real name Shiho Miyano — is one of the most compelling figures in Gosho Aoyama’s long-running mystery series Detective Conan (also known as Case Closed). A former Black Organization scientist who developed the very shrinking drug APTX 4869, she took it herself to escape the syndicate and was reduced to a child’s body, living under the alias Ai Haibara alongside Conan Edogawa. Maoni Studio’s interpretation reimagines her through the lens of Alice in Wonderland — a fitting parallel to a brilliant young woman trapped in a world not her own, navigating danger with quiet composure and a guarded heart.
