Editor’s Letter
Birthday Theme Sylus and Mewtwo make their supporting objects central to the display. One builds a street scene around a motorcycle; the other uses a large psychic frame to hold a floating figure.

The fossil pieces offer a useful third approach: a small specimen and a museum-style base, with no need for an elaborate action pose. We like the contrast because it separates three reasons to collect a scene. The motorcycle can be an object of interest in its own right, the psychic effect can organise movement, and the specimen base can change how a familiar creature is viewed. The surrounding character portraits introduce chairs, costumes and everyday props, but the same test applies. Each object should explain something about the composition instead of simply increasing its density. We would choose the scene whose supporting object remains interesting after the first impression of the character has passed, and give that object enough room to stay visible.
Why Now
01
A date for the supermarket story
The June 11 trailer report announced a July 9 start for Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You. That gives the Sasaki and Tayama group a specific adaptation connection alongside its everyday setting.
02
NIKKE’s summer broadcast
The official NIKKE channel published its Special Summer Livestream on June 27. It supplies a dated franchise connection for the summer-themed figures here, without establishing demand for any particular statue.
03
Wuthering Waves previews its next update
Wuthering Waves published its Version 3.5 preview broadcast on June 26. Hiyuki’s portrait sits within that current franchise context; the sword and costume remain the reasons for its place in the gallery.
Chapter 01
Everyday stages: Sylus, Sasaki & Tayama
A vehicle or an everyday meeting place can establish a scene immediately. These compositions are strongest when the supporting objects have a clear relationship to the figures.
Birthday Theme Sylus
Birthday Theme Sylus places the character beside a cyberpunk motorcycle on an oval night-street base. The helmet on the seat and the bike’s lighting extend the setting beyond the standing portrait. The motorcycle is a major part of the subject, rather than a small accessory at the figure’s feet.
The listed dimensions are 57 cm long, 30 cm wide and 33 cm high. We would choose it for the relationship between person and machine, with enough uninterrupted length to see the whole bike. The low horizontal arrangement offers a different kind of emphasis from a tall figure surrounded by vertical effects.
Best for: a horizontal street scene where the motorcycle remains fully visible

Display objects: Kabutops, Hiyuki & Zhuang Fangyi
A specimen base or a recognisable prop can change how the figure is read. Small details matter most when they establish the purpose of the setting.
Pokémon Fossil Museum Series Vol. 1 Kabutops and Kabuto
Pokémon Fossil Museum Series presents Kabuto and Kabutops on sandy museum-style bases with front nameplates. Kabuto curls into a fossil-like form while Kabutops uses a crouched, scythe-armed shape. The display language invites the viewer to treat them as specimens rather than participants in a battle.
Kabuto is listed at approximately 3.5 cm high and Kabutops at approximately 11 cm. The bundle includes a fossil commemorative plaque. We like the idea for close viewing beside a larger Pokémon environment: the modest format offers a distinct perspective on the creatures without trying to reproduce the scale of a full habitat.

Effects frames: Mewtwo, Caleb & Zenitsu
A continuous effect can connect a figure to a larger scene. The frame should make the main subject easier to find, even when several smaller forms occupy the base.
Mewtwo
Mewtwo floats in front of a large translucent violet psychic backdrop, with futuristic ruins and smaller forms arranged around the rocky base. The circular effect gives the figure a clear visual field. It makes the composition read as a framed psychic scene rather than an isolated airborne pose.
The scene is listed at 40 cm high, 37 cm wide and 26.5 cm deep. An Armored Mewtwo upgrade with a simple base is described, but it is not sold separately. We would select the main scene for its violet frame and leave the smaller base details visible instead of hiding them behind nearby figures.
Best for: a Pokémon effects scene with a strong circular boundary

The motorcycle makes Sylus the lead.
Birthday Theme Sylus is our preference when the supporting object should share the attention with the character. The motorcycle gives the scene a clear horizontal purpose. Mewtwo is the alternative when a large effect should organise the display around one floating figure.
The Pokémon fossil pieces are the quieter addition, using a small base and a specimen-like presentation to change the viewing experience. These are three distinct uses of scenery, rather than a simple progression in size. We would choose the object or environment that the collection is missing before adding another elaborate character portrait.
A useful prop explains why the scene is arranged the way it is.

Kafka’s armoured portrait
Kafka is the single mature selection retained here. The layered combat costume and narrow base make a focused standing portrait; the other original candidate’s adult identity and age context remained unresolved.

Continue with Arknights.
The Arknights pieces offer another way to compare character props and settings. Look for the object that establishes the scene before deciding whether a more elaborate base adds useful information.
