    Mimo Studio’s childhood series frames Shinichi and Ran at the very beginning of the bond the entire series is built on — before the cases, before the poison, before the years of distance. The Shinichi figure captures him mid-gesture, arms out and expression open, the posture of a kid who has no reason yet to hold anything back. Mimo Studio grounds the moment in tactile detail: the stuffed rabbit and scattered props on the pink base read less like decoration and more like a specific afternoon, the kind the series returns to in memory throughout its run. Ran’s seated pose carries a different weight — quieter, watching — and the two bases together establish a sense of shared space that neither figure achieves alone.
