ABOUT

Drive Breakthrough Kaede Rukawa captures Shohoku’s ace mid-drive — weight loaded on the back leg, torso pitched forward, ball secured in one hand, eyes already reading the lane ahead. FeiRenShe Studio built this across two scales, 1/6 and 1/4, with a full hardwood-court diorama base that extends the composition into the surrounding scene through a bench, gear bag, towel, and water bottle rendered with the same care as the figure itself. At 99 pieces per scale, the edition is narrow enough that the secondary market becomes the realistic alternative once the window closes.

SCENE NOTES

The pose locks in the moment just before contact — Rukawa already past the first defender, drive committed, body low, gaze fixed on the lane rather than the ball. It is the read-and-go beat that defined his one-on-one game throughout Shohoku’s tournament run: not the finish, but the instant the outcome was already decided. FeiRenShe Studio chose to anchor the figure on a full courtside diorama rather than an abstract base, placing the bench, gear bag, and Shohoku towel in the frame to ground the action in the physical reality of a game day — the kind of environmental detail that shifts the piece from a posed figure into a frozen slice of the match. The portrait holds Rukawa’s characteristic cold focus without tipping into exaggeration, which is the harder call to get right at this scale.
