ABOUT
FXW Studio’s Water Hashira Giyu Tomioka captures him mid-technique — sword raised, cloak billowing, Water Breathing effects erupting from the base in every direction. At 1/6 scale across a 40 cm total height, the piece pairs a real metal blade and hand-painted haori with a light-up breathing base that pulses beneath the sculpted water surge. Limited to 188 pieces, this is a tight-run entry in FXW’s Nine Pillars series that earns its shelf position through material specificity, not just visual scale.
CHARACTER ORIGIN
SCENE NOTESFXW Studio frames Giyu in full Water Breathing form — sword drawn overhead, left hand extended forward, body torquing through the strike with the haori caught mid-whip behind him. It reads as a technique mid-execution rather than a static heroic pose, and the tension in the posture reflects exactly the controlled ferocity that defines his fighting style. FXW's sculptural decision to build the Water Breathing surge directly into the base rather than attach it as a separate effect piece gives the whole composition a sense of the water rising with him, not just decorating around him — the swirling blue mass underfoot feels like it has momentum. The hand-painted haori hex pattern, visible from every angle in the close-up shots, is where the craft investment really shows.
