CHARACTER ORIGIN
Reze — also known by her alias "Lady Reze" or "Bomb Girl" — is a major antagonist in Tatsuki Fujimoto's Chainsaw Man (Part 1), a manga serialized in Shonen Jump and adapted into an anime by MAPPA in 2022. A hybrid human fused with the Bomb Devil, she is introduced as a seemingly ordinary café worker who draws Denji into a rare moment of warmth and vulnerability, only to reveal herself as a Soviet assassin of extraordinary lethality. This piece captures the duality that defines her — the composed, almost theatrical elegance she projects in civilian guise, the draped fabric and balletic pose evoking the quiet before detonation, that brief, bittersweet chapter in the rain where she nearly convinced everyone, including herself, that she could simply walk away.
