Goddess Slayer Vol. 02 captures Duzhu’s iconic illustration at 1:4 scale — a blade-wielding figure at rest on a sculpted rooftop base, surrounded by wind-lifted crimson silk, peony relief work, and gold-accented architectural detail. The simulated skin-texture paint finish and layered fabric dynamics set the craft bar high, while the sheer footprint (49 cm across) ensures this commands any display shelf it occupies. A rare piece where stillness carries more weight than action.
CHARACTER ORIGIN
Goddess Slayer (刀姬) is STAREXVA Studio's original character concept, brought to life through an officially licensed collaboration with Chinese illustrator Duzhu, known for richly atmospheric figure work rooted in classical East Asian aesthetics. The character embodies a solitary, blade-wielding figure — poised between stillness and latent danger — rendered here in a moment of quiet anticipation: perched above the city at dusk, long dao at rest, as the last light of evening catches the folds of her crimson robes. Vol. 02 revisits and deepens this vision, refining the sculptural language of the original release into a more expansive, scenically grounded composition.
