CHARACTER ORIGIN
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker (2002, Nintendo GameCube) reimagined Hyrule as a vast, sunken world beneath an endless ocean, with scattered islands connected only by wind and courage. Link, a young boy from Outset Island, sets sail aboard the King of Red Lions — a sentient, dragon-headed vessel who serves as both guide and guardian — in pursuit of his kidnapped sister and, ultimately, the fate of a drowned kingdom.
