ABOUT
Firefly Studio distills the Defect’s eerie intelligence into a compact, 20 cm figure that punches well above its footprint. The light-up chest orb casts a cool blue glow through the translucent cavity, while the hand-draped teal cloak — worn and frayed at the edges — adds an unexpected softness to the automaton’s blocky, geometric frame. Limited to 188 pieces, this is a rare three-dimensional tribute to one of indie gaming’s most beloved roguelike icons.
CHARACTER ORIGIN
The Defect is one of the four playable characters in Slay the Spire, the acclaimed roguelike deck-builder developed by MegaCrit. An ancient automaton of unknown origin, it awakens within the Spire driven by a singular, mysterious directive — and channels power through Orbs, cycling lightning, frost, and dark energy to overwhelm whatever stands in its path. Firefly Studio's interpretation captures the Defect mid-stance, cloaked and coiled with quiet menace, as if it has just processed the battlefield and is already three moves ahead.
