    Material & Packaging

    • Materials: Resin and Grade A European black walnut.
    • Music Mechanism: All-copper gears with an internal mechanical return-and-repeat system.

    Notes

    • This release belongs to the studio’s hand-crank music box series. Music plays only while the handle is turned and stops when cranking stops. The mechanism automatically returns and repeats the tune as cranking continues.
    • Tune: “Kimi wo Nosete” (“Carrying You”). At the cranking speed demonstrated in the studio’s video, one complete rendition takes approximately 1 minute 25 seconds to 1 minute 40 seconds. Playback duration varies with cranking speed.
    • All painting is carried out by the studio’s own team members. The studio states that the supplied finish will match the displayed example; completing the painting in-house results in a longer production cycle.
    • Unlike the studio’s earlier Porco Rosso release, this music box has an independent power switch. Switching it on activates the lighting even when the music box is not being cranked.
    • The charging port has been changed to USB Type-C. The studio states that ordinary phone chargers can be used for charging.
    • The large display wheel is fitted with bearings only and has no motor. It can only be rotated manually.

A large spoked wheel, stone walls, exposed pipes, and a mine cart frame the raised platform, while Sheeta’s blue pendant contrasts with the warm lantern below. The hand-cranked music mechanism is paired with lighting that operates independently of the music.
