NightWing Studio’s Rei Ayanami release offers separate short-hair and long-hair statues in both 1/6 and 1/4 scale. Each wears a blue-and-white sailor-inspired costume, with knee-high boots on the long-hair design and high heels on the short-hair design. A winged mechanical display base combines Evangelion-style paneling with a heart-shaped crest and a lighting effect.
CHARACTER ORIGIN
Rei Ayanami pilots Evangelion Unit-00 in Neon Genesis Evangelion and is known for her reserved manner, pale blue hair, and red eyes. This interpretation retains her recognizable palette and facial traits while shifting the design toward magical-girl sailor styling. The short-haired version stays closer to her familiar silhouette, while the long-haired version uses broad curls to frame the upper body and give the alternate design a more elaborate profile.
