CHARACTER ORIGIN

Son Goku is the Saiyan-raised-on-Earth protagonist of Akira Toriyama's Dragon Ball, a series that redefined shonen manga and anime worldwide. This piece captures Kid Goku during his Turtle School training era — orange gi cinched with a blue belt, the Power Pole strapped to his back, and that unmistakable wide-eyed determination as he charges headlong into his next adventure. It's the pure, fearless energy of a boy who doesn't yet know he'll one day shake the universe.
