CHARACTER ORIGIN
<p>Makima is the Control Devil — one of the most formidable and enigmatic figures in Tatsuki Fujimoto's <em>Chainsaw Man</em> (serialized in Shonen Jump, 2018–2020). Serving as a Public Safety Devil Hunter while concealing her true nature as a devil who embodies the concept of control itself, she manipulates those around her with a calm that reads as warmth until it doesn't. This piece channels the moment her facade fully dissolves: perched above the wreckage she has orchestrated, ringed by crows that are extensions of her will, the halo above her head no longer a symbol of grace but of absolute, uncontested dominion.</p>
