CHARACTER ORIGIN
Pikachu is the iconic Electric-type Pokemon and the enduring face of the Pokemon franchise, which launched in 1996 with Pokemon Red and Green on the original Game Boy. This particular sculpt channels that debut-era design — the rounder, heavier body proportions and more guarded expression that longtime fans remember from those first pixelated sprites and early anime episodes, before the character's silhouette was gradually streamlined over the decades. It's a portrait of Pikachu as an entire generation first met him: compact, cautious, and quietly electric.
