CHARACTER ORIGIN
Hollow Knight is a 2017 action-adventure game developed by Team Cherry, set in the decaying underground kingdom of Hallownest. The Knight is the player character — a small, silent bug of the Void who descends into Hallownest to confront the source of a spreading infection. The Pure Vessel is the Knight's ideal form: the Pale King's perfect vessel, stripped of all emotion and memory, embodying the terrifying cost of what the Knight was created to become — a living seal, hollow by design.
