Da Qiao is one of the legendary “Two Qiaos” of the late Eastern Han dynasty, celebrated across Chinese literature and the Romance of the Three Kingdoms tradition as a woman of extraordinary beauty and quiet resolve. Wife of the warlord Sun Ce, she became an enduring symbol of grace amid the chaos of war. Jomatal’s original interpretation reimagines her not as a passive court figure but as a poised swordswoman caught mid-draw — silk robes cascading behind her in a dramatic low stance that channels both elegance and lethal intent.
