ABOUT

Dreamdoll Studio’s Vol. 03 captures Makima at her most dangerously composed โ€” a slight lean forward, chain at the hip, golden eyes that offer nothing and demand everything. The sculpt earns its 110-piece run through the contrast between the softly rendered skin gradients and the crisp bat-wing trim of her dress, with the embossed manhole base grounding the whole piece in her mythology. Limited to 110 pieces, this is the kind of shelf presence that rewards a second look.

Makima is the central antagonist of Tatsuki Fujimoto’s Chainsaw Man (Shueisha, serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump and Jump+), revealed to be the Control Devil โ€” a being who embodies humanity’s fear of domination and subjugation. Beneath her composed, almost tender exterior lies an absolute will to control every living thing around her, most devastatingly exercised in her systematic dismantling of Denji’s world across the series’ first arc. Dreamdoll Studio’s interpretation leans fully into that duality: the half-smile, the golden eyes holding no warmth, and the chain at her hip read less as costume detail and more as a quiet declaration of power.
