CHARACTER ORIGIN
The piece captures the 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai quarter-final bout — the fight where Chi-Chi resurfaced as a competitor with her identity concealed, furious that Goku had never returned to keep his promise. It's a gag fight at its core, hinging on a throwaway comment Goku had completely forgotten about — which is exactly what gives it such lasting warmth.
