ArtOtaku Home Studio’s original interpretation reimagines the beloved Tang Sanzang โ the pilgrim monk from the classic Chinese novel Journey to the West โ as an impossibly serene capybara. The design leans into the capybara’s internet-famous aura of unshakable calm, pairing it with Xuanzang’s iconic five-petal lotus crown, crimson kasaya robe, and prayer beads to create a figure that radiates quiet, meditative composure. Each lotus petal on the base carries a hand-painted Chinese blessing character, turning the piece into a small altar of good fortune.
