CHARACTER ORIGIN
Rei Ayanami is the enigmatic First Child and pilot of Evangelion Unit-00 in Hideaki Anno's Neon Genesis Evangelion. Quiet, seemingly emotionless, and deeply intertwined with the mysteries of NERV, her true nature as a vessel connected to the Angel Lilith is one of the series' most haunting revelations.
