CHARACTER ORIGIN
Asuka Langley Soryu is one of the central pilots of Evangelion Unit-02 in Hideaki Anno's landmark mecha franchise, Neon Genesis Evangelion and its Rebuild film tetralogy. Fiercely independent and driven by a need to prove herself on her own terms, Asuka's identity is inseparable from her plugsuit — the red armor that signals both her pride and her vulnerability.
