The Firmament captures mid-ascension — robes unraveling in a celestial wind, a great koi spirit cresting above her as lotus energy erupts from the base below. At 1/4 scale and standing 66 cm tall, LingYun Studio’s officially licensed piece from Apotheosis Season 3 builds the composition across three vertical layers, from the fractured stone base through billowing spirit-flame effects to the gilded koi at the apex. Limited to 198 pieces, each individually numbered, this is a display anchor that earns its footprint through sheer sculptural ambition.
CHARACTER ORIGIN
SCENE NOTESThis piece frames Su Ling Yun at a moment of spiritual ascension — the instant where cultivated power breaks through into something celestial, the koi spirit fully manifested and the boundary between mortal and divine dissolving around her. That threshold carries real weight in Apotheosis, where transcendence is never clean or quiet but always turbulent and visually overwhelming. LingYun Studio leans hard into that tension: the figure's posture reads as both controlled and barely contained, one arm extended upward toward the koi while spirit-flame erupts in layered white and violet from the base, pulling the eye through the full vertical height of the composition. The prosthetic-grade eye inserts are a deliberate craft choice here — at 1/4 scale, the face is large enough that a flat printed eye would break the illusion, and the depth those inserts add keeps the portrait grounded even as everything around it is in motion.
