CHARACTER ORIGIN
In Fullmetal Alchemist, Alphonse survives the loss of his body when his older brother Edward binds his soul to a suit of armor. His crossed forearms and grounded stance suggest a guarded combat response without identifying a specific canon battle. The white waist cloth and the red seal visible within the hollow torso refer directly to the human soul contained inside the armored shell.
