MF Studio’s 30th Anniversary piece captures the trainer — available as either Ash Ketchum or Red — seated cross-legged on a Poke Ball-themed base, surrounded by all four original partners: Pikachu, Charmander, Squirtle, and Bulbasaur perched overhead holding game cartridges. Sculpted at 1/8 scale with imported resin and PU construction, the piece integrates period-accurate props — a Game Boy Color unit and game cases scattered across the base — as load-bearing design elements rather than afterthoughts. At a worldwide edition of 99 units, the head-swap configuration between the anime and game trainer identities makes this one of the more considered anniversary releases in the Pokemon GK space.

The concept here is less a single battle frame and more a deliberate nostalgia anchor — the trainer sitting at rest, surrounded by his first four partners, with a Game Boy Color and Red/Blue cartridges placed on the base as the actual emotional cue. MF Studio’s decision to build the scene around the handheld hardware rather than a battle moment is what separates this from a standard group pose: the GBA-era props shift the weight from action to memory. Bulbasaur’s vine tendrils holding cartridges aloft is a sculptural choice that adds vertical movement without breaking the calm of the seated composition, and the 30th Anniversary base lettering grounds the whole piece as a commemorative object rather than a character snapshot.
